The Grant of Probate (or Letters of Administration if there is no Will) is the legal permission to distribute the assets of the deceased as per the terms of their Will.
Losing a loved one is obviously a very emotional and stressful time but there are also plenty of practical things that need to be done – registering the death and obtaining copies of the Death Certificate.
